Why does 3rd party deposit status in Entrata still show as Pending?
If the 3rd party deposit status still shows as Pending and you see the deposit has been completed with Whale using a different confirmation method, then the 3rd party deposit option was not selected before Whale confirmed the deposit.
Only the applicant (in the application) or the property (after the application is submitted) can set the 3rd party deposit option to "Selected" and Whale cannot update the status to Active until its selected.
To fix the issue, update the deposit selection:
- If Lease Status = Applicant, click "View Application" on the Lead Summary tab and navigate to the Financial tab. Update their deposit selection at the bottom of the page and click "Save & Close".
- If Lease Status = Future, click "Deposits Held" on the Financial tab. Then, click the "Deposit Options" dropdown and select "Switch to 3rd Party Deposit".
Once updated, Whale will update the 3rd Party Deposit status to Active during its next sync.
