Add Whale to Entrata application

When configuring a property using an Entrata integration, the last step before launching the property is adding Whale to the Entrata application. This allows renters to choose Whale (the 3rd party option) instead of paying a traditional deposit.

Instructions

1. Make sure you have already enabled third-party deposits for this property. You won’t be able to configure the application until this is done.
2. In Entrata, go to Setup > Properties > [Property Name] > Leasing > Application > Applications and click the “Edit Icon”.
3. Scroll down to the Deposit Preference section and toggle “Ask for Deposit preference” to enabled.
4. Select how many 3rd party deposit options the property will offer (i.e. will Whale be the only option or will you offer a deposit alternative like LeaseLock, Rhino, etc.).
5. Choose if you will continue promoting Traditional deposits. Selecting "No" is recommended and means...
   1. The option to pay a traditional deposit will not be presented in the application
   2. Whale will send a deposit request to every approved applicant based on your property's settings
6. Configure the application fields using the settings shown in Whale Admin based on your selections above. Click “Save”.

Once completed, renters will be presented with the option to complete their deposit requirement with Whale in their Entrata application and Whale will began requesting deposits for renters who apply on or after the launch date.
